It is the most common cancer in the United States and is highly treatable if caught early.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">What are the types of skin cancer?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common type of skin cancer. It looks like a flesh-colored, pearl-like bump, or pinkish patch of skin.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common type of skin cancer. It often looks like a red firm bump, scaly patch, or a sore that heals and reopens.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Melanoma, the most serious skin cancer because of its <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">tendency to spread, is the deadliest form of skin cancer.
